Pretty Papers and Butterflys...

Happy Tuesday!  Looking through my stuff I decided I really need to start using some of this designer paper...I tend to make cutesy, whimsy stuff and I consider this style "foo foo"...fancy....but I need to break away and use it....so I decided to just make the paper speak for itself....This paper was in one of those DCWV small stacks and I just cut it down and layered it and added some butterflys that I punched out using the Martha Stewart punch and then added some tiny pearls...Pop Dots were used to give dimension to the layers...You cant see in the photo but the paper has a bit of sparkle on the flowery part of it...Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Hound Dog

Hi!  Hope you are all doing great today...Summer is going by so fast!  Its been so nice to get back into posting again on the blog and over at SCS....Today's challenge was to be inspired by music so I used this cute stamp by Penny Black for my cards entitled "Hound Dog" which is by one of my favorite singers Elvis Presley!  I stamped the image twice so I could cut out and pop up different parts for dimension....The scarf, the cute doggies head and his dog bone....I found a brad in my stash that went perfect with the red and white polka dot paper...Don't you love when that happens?  Thanks so much for stopping by and if you get a chance go over to SCS and play the challenge for today...here's the link!

Sunshine to Others...

Just inked up this set recently for the first time even though its an old set by Stampin Up...I really loved the saying and found this cute paper in my stash for the background...I added white dots to the center of the flowers to mimic the ones on the stamp with my white gel pen...That pen sure comes in handy!  The little girl was cut out and popped up for dimension...Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Have a great rest of the week! Hugs...

Mimi at the Beach...

Hi!  Hope you are having a great summer so far...Looks like Mimi is...Isn't she cute...This is from the stamp set called "Fun in the Sun" by Penny Black...I inked it up for the first time last night and had some fun...All made possible by my Aunt Lori who gave me this set for my birthday...Thanks Aunt Lori you are so SWEET!!  I found a cute flip flop in my stash that I had gotten a while back at Walmart that along with some jute I separated to give it a more tattered look and its not so bulky when I tie it on...Some brads and two flowers put together with a coordinating brad gives it a bit of a tropical look...The image was stamped twice so I could cut out her sunglasses and pop them up, my favorite technique to do...Thanks so much for stopping by and the sweet comments you all left on my return...Great to be back!! Hugs, Cookie
